We had an amazing experience at Astra CLT last evening celebrating our wedding anniversary! The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning the decor creates such a stylish and romantic atmosphere that made the evening feel even more special. Yes, it’s lit up like a head shop on the outside 😂, but walk in and prepare to be amazed. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. You can tell they’re still relatively new, but overall I was impressed. My ratings: - Hummus: 7/10, tasty with a decent amount of tahini, but consistency could be smoother and needs a tad bit more flavor - Yalanji/dolmas: 8/10, good taste and consistency, my personal preference is room temperature, but cold is fine when vegetarian - Kibbeh: 8/10, well done, could use a bit more flavor pop in the meat, but see below for a great hack - Cauliflower: 11/10, this

We had an amazing experience at Astra Restaurant and Lounge - Mediterranean Cuisine in Uptown Charlotte! The ambience is beautiful (One of the best ambience for a Mediterranean place in Charlotte - They have outdoor seating too) and the food was incredible. We started with the Chicken Shawarma Nachos and Zaatar Wings , which were simply delicious. For drinks, the mocktails are a must-try—the Dragon Fruit Mojito and Passion Fruit Mojito were awesome. My friend and I are from out of town and driving around looking at hookah bars. After reviewing this one this looked our vibe. Staff were nice and sat us fast, extremely friendly and clean. We really enjoyed the relaxing vibe, we don't drink so we have some of their drink and they were amazing so we got a couple different ones. The staff really went above and before letting us try some of their new creations they are working on. If anyone was coming into town I definitely would recommend this for a quick stop.
