I was unfortunately very disappointed at the Beyoğlu Çaycısı in Karşıyaka, İzmir. After the menu arrived, we waited a full 20 minutes for a waiter to look at our order. The service staff (especially the female employee) slammed the forks and knives onto the table; their attitude was very rude and unpleasant. As for the food and drinks; I ordered a mocha, but what arrived was like plain chocolate water. The waffle we ordered had a paper-thin, tasteless crust. The tea is always fresh and perfectly brewed, but for hookah lovers, this is a true sanctuary. The hookah is truly excellent; the tobacco is high quality, the coals are always fresh, and it's very enjoyable to smoke. I ordered a tea and a tiramisu. This was the first time I'd seen tiramisu served straight from the oven; it was like a cake fresh out of the oven, the cream filling was melted like ice cream, half cold, half melted. It had a nauseating taste. I told the waitress, and she said they serve it like that because it's frozen, and brushed it off, saying it would cool down. Even her attitude was wrong. I ate a cake with melted cream in between, like it had just come out of the oven. I couldn't eat two bites; it was impossible to eat.
