The chicken nibbles will keep me coming back whenever I'm in Auckland. I discovered Dicey Reillys about a year ago on a work trip, and I made sure to return for lunch and drinks, twice, during my recent one-week holiday. Tried the salt and pepper squid and this turned out to be excellent as well - we gobbled it up before I could take a photo, but it was light and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. We didn’t arrive AKL until 9:00 pm, and we couldn’t find many places open for food nearby. Luckily, this restaurant was still open, and we were so glad we found it! The prices were great, the service was excellent, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. The pizzas, cooked dishes, and starters were all beautifully presented and full of flavour. Everything tasted fresh, carefully prepared, and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place — a wonderful find, especially after a late arrival!

The pub itself is great. Very large and set up like a proper Irish pub. We had the pork belly bites which were great! The pub did have a sign up advertising live music on Saturday nights, this was not case. They also advertised 50% off drinks if you leave them a 5 star review, this was also misleading and just wasn’t the case. A 3% pay-wave surcharge is also a little steep in my opinion. If the new owners can fix these minor things it has all the potential of being a great pub.
