Ordered a hookah here. They focused on other tables that were ordering bottles. After waiting 45 minutes, I cancelled it. The waiter had the nerve to charge me a 20% tip. He didnt tell me that he was going to charge it and when I saw it pop up, he was shocked why I didnt wanna pay it. Tips are not required. Secondly, don't assume how much I want to pay. When I protested about it, multiple managers came out over a 30 minute period and offered other drinks. However, I didn't want it and just wanted a refund. My boyfriend and I went came to cabo for a vacation and wanted to check out the night life here. We went on Saturday 3/7. It filled up pretty quickly once the other clubs closed down. Then the party started. The staff were all AMAZING!. Super accommodating and made sure we were taking care till the end. I can not say enough about the staff. I would definitely recommend going! We are more for tech-house music which was not what was played, but the atmosphere, the energy with the vibe and the music was great! I haven't enjoyed dancing to something that wasn't EDM in awhile. Went here on my vacation. They have the best DJ ( worldfamousdjtorch ). He had my girls and I dancing all night ! We could not sit down. had so much fun!! Vibe was nice, drinks were flowing ,hookah was hitting. Balam is my go-to lounge whenever I am in CABO. I have to party with DJ torch.

Absolutely do NOT go to Balam. This place is a complete scam. They lure you in by saying shots are “free,” but once you’re inside, they pressure and corner you into paying. It’s misleading, uncomfortable, and honestly feels like a setup. What starts as a fun night quickly turns into an awkward situation where they expect money for things they claimed were complimentary. Save your time, money, and peace of mind—there are way better places to go.
