My friend and I had a fantastic time at Ahwak! The kobeba was phenomenal and fresh, as was the moussa'a. The star of the show was our server Michel's shisha, and the fresh ginger honey tea, perfect and soothing. He was very sweet and helped me practice my Arabic! The atmosphere is to die for. Retro fixtures and good music. We lounged around for hours and got lots of work done on our laptops. 10/10 would recommend and will be back soon!

Be aware a CASH ONLY restaurant! The interior design is unique, comfortable and cozy. It feels like traveling back to Cairo in 60s. The Turkish coffee was the best I tried in Cairo. Shami Kebab, falafel and sambosa all tasted good. We went in for brunch, on the first day of Ramadan. The place was empty but everything we asked on the menu was available and prepared in a timely manner. Friendly staff. Our server spoke good English. I recommend this place for sure.

They have the best Turkish coffee in town, and while the food isn't the best, it's acceptable. Their service is excellent; people are very friendly and welcoming. It's my go-to place for Turkish coffee and clearing my head.
