They created a rule that says flip-flops and shorts aren't allowed, and they don't publicize it. Customers arrive and hear comments like "that one won't get in" or "I'll let you in, but next time come more dressed up." They need to talk to customers and better publicize the rules of the place; nobody needs to go through such humiliation to enter an establishment that isn't all that great; they're demanding too much!
